Feeling the Breeze in my Hair #OOTD

Houston has had an amazing weather lately! A couple of weeks ago a new shopping center in Houston opened up, River Oaks District. ROD has great places to take pictures and the weather was perfect. Great weather and a great background means we have to take pictures. My good friend, Shalanda from Live Life in Style, and I decided to meet up and take advantage of the opportunity. We explored, had coffee and gossiped, sounds like a good day?

Dallas Exploring Day Two #IsTheWeekendReallyOver

Sculpture Garden.

Brunch, the most important meal of the day!

OOTD!

Bishop Art District

My best friend, Alejandra and I having a laugh.

My creepy best friend completely photo bombed me.

At the sculpture garden.

Day two was too short in Dallas, did it really have to end? Honestly, this whole trip was too short. I had so much fun during this short adventure.  The next day we woke up starving. I had heard of the Bishop Arts District, and I wanted to visit. The area was so cute! :) There were restaurants, stores and many many many fall decorations. We had brunch at Tillman's Roadhouse, which was such a cute place, the staff was quick to attend to us as soon as we sat down. I knew that Eggs Benedict was the dish I wanted to try (since it's my favorite Brunch dish).

After brunch we explored the area. We found tons of boutiques with the most original things. I fell in love with the Bishop Arts District! The area was really cute, and the weather that day was amazing. Decorations for fall were already up. There was not one single corner that was not decorated. There were scarecrows, pumpkins and lots of hay.

Lastly, we visited the Nasher Sculpture Garden. We had seen pictures of this place and it looked amazing. I loved this place! The art in the gallery was different and the sculptures outside were incredible. Each piece was different and caught your attention.

This was an extremely short trip. Even though it was short I was happy because I got to spend it with my two best friends. I know that we have many more adventures to come!

Dallas Exploring Day One #EverythingsBiggerInTexas

Downtown Dallas!

Enjoying my view from Reunion Tower.

OOTD

A short getaway never hurt anyone! My friends and I decided to take a short drive to Dallas and explore what the city has to offer.  Even though our trip was short (two days) I feel like we accomplished a lot. Near Dallas, there is a small city called Terrell, where there is a "haunted house."  I am a huge fan of anything "scary!" Halloween is my favorite time of year, and I had heard of a haunted house in Terrell, TX. The scary attraction is named Thrillvania, and let me tell you, it was the best Halloween attraction I have ever visited.

Terrell is 45 minuets away from Downtown Dallas. We decided to stay and explore in Dallas. Our first day, we explored downtown. We walked around the streets like typical tourists and took tons of pictures. We wanted to get the best view of the city, so we decided to visit Reunion Tower.  The view was amazing! You could stay inside the tower or stand outside to see the Dallas Skyscraper.

Overall, the first day was long, and by the end of the day we wanted to go to our hotel and rest. We walked so much during the day and ran at Thrillvania during the night. Our first day was such a success, I knew that the second and final day was going to be even better.

I thought I was in London #Dreaming

Cute doors behind me!

Perfect dress for a perfect day!

I seriously want to go to London and call someone from a red phone booth. While I was exploring around, I came across an area that red phone boot, colorful doors and a life size chess game. These things were located in a cute little patio in the Montrose/Museum District in Houston. As always the weather was hot, so I had to wear something cute but comfortable enough to wear on this day of exploring.

A Weekend to Remember #ootd

Looking out to my beautiful city during Pride 2015.

Houston is a city with tons to do, which of course keeps me busy. As many may know, Houston is extremely, hot, sunny and humid. Sometimes the weather can make it hard to pick a good outfit. I opted out for something that would keep me cool, but comfortable.

Coming Soon #RODistrict

The day is getting closer!!!! Houston has tons of amazing shopping places, but it's only getting better! I got to visit the construction site for the new luxury shopping center, River Oaks District. We were given a small tour around the construction site, and we got to wear really cool hard hats and lime green vests. This was my first time wearing a hard hat, and of course my I had problems due to my small head. Our tour guide showed us where stores such as: Hermes, Dior and Cartier would be located. The shopping center will also have restaurants, a theatre and a residential area. Not only were we given a tour, but we were also provided with breakfast (Yay me). The breakfast was great and the cold refreshments were perfect for the hot sunny morning in Houston. I am extremely excited for this new shopping destination to open!

I know Houston does not have the best weather, so I had to find something comfortable and fashionable. I wanted something bright and simple. I paired these super comfy bright pants with a white shirt. I always like to wear an accessory that stands out, "The attention getter." During my visit to Costa Rica, I bough this fun necklace from kids that worked near the beach. Not only is the necklace gorgeous, but it's very special to me due to the fact that it's made by local kids from Costa Rica.
